Nancy Burkes is a well-known Pastry Chef in the Greater Toronto Area. After receiving her Fine Arts Degree at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), Nancy then pursued her professional training as a Baker and Patissier through the George Brown College Apprenticeship Program. Through the complimentary principles of these two programs, Nancy applies her love of design and her passion for baking to create beautiful and delicious desserts!
With over fifteen years of experience, Nancy has worked in the finest hotels and patisseries around Toronto; including Patachou Patisserie, The Windsor Arms Hotel, and Rosedale Golf Club. For the past ten years Nancy has operated her own company specializing in wedding cakes, hand-decorated desserts, pastries, petits fours, and seasonal products.
Nancy also teaches baking and cooking classes at several other venues where she combines her refined skills and years of experience to offer a first-class culinary evening and continues her passion for design and baking through various catering endeavours.
