SUMAC is a berry from the Sumac Tree and is from the Mediterranean region and America. It is deliciously tangy and sour with hints of lemon. Because of its flavour it is used as a souring agent instead of citrus juice or vinegar. Sumac is found in Middle Eastern cuisine, notably Lebanese kebabs.
