It's time for Summer cooking!
Chef Jess here again! I'm back taking over the newsletter this week to remind you about the Budding Chefs series at Cookery. This Summer, I'm teaching a 7-week series hosted on Zoom, designed specifically for your 11-16 year old, that will take them on a global adventure with food.
Every Thursday from 4:30-6:30pm, your Budding Chef will make your family dinner all while learning new skills and flavours in the kitchen. Life-long skills such as proper knife handling, how to measure ingredients correctly and various cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéeing, broiling and steaming. As a Culinary Instructor for the past 14 years (and Chef for over 20 years), my classes are approachable, educational and most importantly FUN!
Classes start this Thursday with an ode to Italy where we'll make our own pizza dough and sauce. In the coming weeks, we'll visit India, Korea, Spain, Greece, Mexico and Argentina. If you're bored of the same meal routine, let your young chef learn some new recipes that will certainly become family favourites.
Registration for classes is one-off with a discount of 10% offered when two or more classes are purchased. Siblings living in the same household can take the class together for the price of one registration.
