Meet Chef & Sommelier Bart Pocock

Bart is a French-inspired Chef with vast experience in the Toronto restaurant industry. His French Bistro, Nord, in the Upper Annex was a neighbourhood institution winning accolades from Blog.TO as one of the five best French restaurants in the city, and achieving a 4.8 rating on Trip Advisor. He also appeared on the cooking series Market to Table and worked as Private chef on The Grand Cru Culinary Festival.

He is very in tune with his ingredients and prefers to start from as close to the source as possible; butchering, using whole spices, and choosing farm fresh produce, to achieve the results he wants.

Bart is also a certified Sommelier allowing him to pair and even cater the flavour profile of dishes to wines and other suitable beverages.
