Its name, Capitaine, is a nautical reference to its broad flat base, as it was the only decanter that would stay upright on board. Its generous shape favours the mingling of the wine with the air, accelerating the release of its aromas. It is particularly suitable for young red wines. 75 cl - 25,4oz.

Very nice but stopper is not a good fit

I love the shape of this and it's great to handle. It also, of course, provides great aeration for wine and is perfect for decanting younger reds.
I just wish the ground glass stopper was a proper fit. It should not wobble, it should be an exact fit but it isn't.
