Getting on board.
High heat cooking.
As I'm sure you've noticed, we're passionate about food! That said, there are in fact days where turning on the stove and cooking on the stove top isn't our choice. With summer temperatures on the rise, today is just one of those days!
What I do want is to be soaking up the sun in my garden, grazing on the best the season has to offer - with very little fuss, and perhaps with a little bubbly to sip on. This week, our recipe feature is one that requires no stove time at all. It's a charcuterie board from our in-store cookbook, Around the Board : a guide to seasonal cheese and charcuterie boards. We tried the Stone Fruit Season Board highlighting peaches, plums and cherries, along with prosciutto and marinated goat cheese. It's an ideal dinner for this weather.
Cookery has all you need to create beautiful charcuterie plates. Boards, cheese knives, serveware and of course all the drinkware to pair your food with your favourite beverage. See our top picks below!
If our cookbooks don't inspire you to make more light, seasonal fare, one of our Summer cooking classes might. Complete with wine pairings, our cooking classes are educational, fun and most of all, DELICIOUS. Coming up in person is Hands-on Pasta: Summer Pappardelle with Chef Sasha and Al Fresco Entertaining online with Chef Jessica.
Here's to finding new inspiration, while staying cool in the kitchen,
Alison & the team at Cookery
