Nojito Non-Alcoholic Cocktail

NOjito (Non-Alcoholic Mojito)

A refreshing alcohol-free twist on the classic mojito, the NOjito combines fresh mint, zesty lime, ginger ale, and a touch of maple syrup for a crisp, bubbly mocktail that's perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh mint sprigs (5 for the drink, 1 for the glass)
  • Ice cubes
  • 6 oz (180 ml) ginger ale
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) pure maple syrup
  • Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
  • Lime wedge or lime wheel, for garnish

Equipment

  • Tall Highball Glass
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Bar spoon
  • Straw

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Glass

Lightly rub one fresh mint sprig around the inside rim of a chilled highball glass. This releases the mint's natural oils and enhances the aroma with every sip.

Step 2: Add the Mint

Place the remaining five mint sprigs into the bottom of the glass. Avoid crushing them heavily—keeping the leaves intact provides a fresher flavor while preventing bitterness.

Step 3: Fill with Ice

Fill the glass nearly to the top with fresh ice cubes.

Step 4: Add the Ingredients

Pour over the ice:

  • Ginger ale
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Pure maple syrup

Step 5: Stir

Using a bar spoon, gently stir for 5–10 seconds until the maple syrup is fully incorporated and the drink is chilled.

Step 6: Top with Ice

Add a few more ice cubes if needed to keep the glass full.

Step 7: Garnish

Finish with:

  • A fresh mint sprig
  • A lime wedge or lime wheel

Serve immediately with a straw.
